How To Hem An Item Of Clothing

This post is how I hem my clothes when they are too long, this isn't necessarily the right way (I worked in a tailors for a day or two and they did it slightly differently... but then again it also wasn't as accurate as my method) but this method works very well for me!

1. Find where you want the item of clothing to end and pin it.

2. Measure how fair from the bottom of clothing it is up to the fold (not the pin) you just pinned.

3. Follow along the garment and measure the same distance and pin.

4. Keep doing this until you are the whole way round.

5. Fold the bottom underneath and sew along your newly created fold. After you are finished sewing cut off the excess fabric and volia! you have a newly hemmed garment.

I hope this helps with your sewing! Enjoy!
